Notifications & email alerts

DeDupe keeps you informed as work happens — in the app and, if you like, by email.

In-app notifications

The bell in the top bar opens the notification center, with an unread count and a live/disconnected indicator. From there you can mark items read, clear them, or open View all notifications.

The full Notifications page (in the sidebar) is a searchable inbox with stat cards (Unread, Urgent, High priority, Reviews) and filters by type, priority, read status, and date. Notifications cover scans, merges, duplicates, review requests, and system events like a workspace disconnecting or an API rate-limit warning.

Bulk actions let you mark several as read, delete them, or clear all at once.

Email notifications

Control email under Settings → Account → Notifications:

• Enable Email Notifications — the master switch for all emails.
• Scan Completion — when a scan finishes.
• Merge Approvals — when a merge needs your approval.
• Error Alerts — critical errors and failures.
• Weekly Summary — a weekly digest of activity.
• Digest Frequency — Immediate, Daily Digest, or Weekly Digest.

Email preferences are per-workspace, so you can be noisier for one workspace and quieter for another.

Pairing with monitoring

Notifications are most useful alongside live monitoring — you'll hear the moment a new duplicate is detected rather than discovering it on your next visit.
