Mark false positives

Not every pair DeDupe finds is a real duplicate. When two records look similar but are genuinely different, mark them as not a duplicate so they don't keep coming back.

Reject a pair

In the duplicate queue, select a pair and choose Reject (or press r). You can add a note explaining why, and optionally create an exclusion rule so the same kind of pair is filtered out in future scans.

The pair's status becomes Rejected, and it moves out of your pending queue.

The False Positives list

Rejections that create a rule are collected under Settings → False positives. Each rule keeps two records from being flagged as duplicates of each other again — without stopping either record from matching other records.

Exclusion rules come in a few types:

• Record pair — these two specific records.
• Domain pair — records with these two domains.
• Name pair — records with these two names.
• Pattern — records matching a pattern you define.

Reopen or remove a rule

From the False Positives list you can:

• Reopen — restore the pair to the review queue (if it came from a rejected pair).
• Remove — delete the rule entirely, so the pair can resurface in future scans.
