Automate merges

Let high-confidence pairs merge automatically, and auto-flag or auto-reject the rest.

Once you trust DeDupe's scoring, you can let it act on the clearest cases for you. Automation lives under Settings → Configuration on the Automation tab (admin only).

Auto-merge

Turn on Auto-merge and set a threshold (between 80% and 100%). Pairs that score above it — with AI approval and no critical conflicts — merge automatically; the rest stay in your review queue.

A live preview shows the impact before you save, for example: "At 0.95, 12 of your 340 pending pairs would auto-merge." Start with a high threshold and lower it as you build confidence.

Automated merges are still fully recorded in merge history and can be undone within 30 days, just like manual ones.

Auto-flag and auto-reject

Two related rules round out automation:

  • Auto-flag for review — flag pairs above a threshold (50–95%) for a person to look at.
  • Auto-reject — automatically reject low-confidence matches below a threshold (10–50%), keeping your queue focused.

Protecting critical fields

Enable Require review for field conflicts so any pair with a conflict in a critical field always waits for manual review, no matter its score. You choose which fields count as critical.

Tuning the score first

Automation is only as good as the confidence score behind it. Before leaning on auto-merge, it's worth tuning detection so scores reflect your data.
